Job Summary:  

Assistant Managers supervise operations of the theatre to ensure a professional and safe work environment.  Provide leadership and development to theatre personnel and effectively communicate expectations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, movie knowledge, and all other components of Guest Service
  • Can accurately and effectively complete all of the duties of the floor staff
  • Upholds all policies and procedures and enforces compliance within the team
  • Provides direct supervision and guidance to all team members
  • Completes employee scheduling and placement schedules
  • Performs opening, closing, daily, and weekly responsibilities
  • Oversees and completes administrative reports
  • Reinforces guest and operational focus
  • Develops team members through guidance and training to achieve increasing levels of expertise
  • Ensures all team members meet all customer service standards
  • Oversees and takes ownership of a assigned theatre departments
  • Assists Senior Manager and General Manager with hiring, training and development, employee reviews, and appropriately disciplining theatre associates
  • Performs other duties as instructed by Senior Manager and General Manager
  • Participates in staff, marketing, and manager meetings
  • Trains supervisor and staff team on POS usage
  • Appropriately monitors facility payroll
  • Books theatre and group rentals
  • Books Birthday parties
  • Monitors all inventory levels and reports needs to Senior Manager and/or General Manager
  • Conducts daily walk through of building and reports and addresses any safety issues
  • Maintains regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

 

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Complete knowledge of supervisor, box office, concession, and usher duties
  • Outstanding ability to listen
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellence in training and development skills
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Effective analytical, planning, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with supervisors, peers, subordinates, guests, and vendors in a high volume setting
  • Consistently delivers results with minimal supervision 
  • Delegates and follows up effectively and efficiently 
  • Consistently meets deadlines
  • Basic working computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel)
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move product 90 feet on a regular basis
