Legal Services of North Florida has an opening for a Disaster Outreach Paralegal in its Panama City office. This position will work to reach and assist communities effected by Hurricane Michael Disaster. Ability to work independently and in a team environment is very important. Experience drafting letters, legal motions, and orders is desired. Ability to analyze complex issues and to obtain results to positively impact client and community is highly recommended. Applicants should be a skilled typist and have excellent grammatical and computer skills,. Qualified applicants will be a either a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar Association or have a four-year degree or completion of a legal assistant or paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association. (Year-for-year work experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary may be substituted for the education requirement.)
Entry level salary of $28,000 is negotiable, depending on experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes: paid holidays, paid vacation (which after two years, increases to four weeks per year), sick leave, a four-day workweek (35 hours). After sixty days, fully paid health insurance for employee & dependent children. Additional voluntary options of term life, disability insurance, and retirements plans are also available.
