The Human Resources Coordinator is a key member of the MHG People team.  The HR Coordinator provides support to MHG's operations in a variety of areas including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and learning & development.  The role is primarily based at MHG's Head Office with the expectation to frequently visit and build relationships with employees and leaders at a number of MHG locations.

As the HR Coordinator, You will

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment with focus on the candidate experience
  • Develop strategies and attend events to build brand and attract talent (Campus, Career Fairs, social media, etc.)
  • Work with operational leaders to identify recruitment needs
  • Analyze and develop Job Descriptions and postings
  • Post open roles using Applicant Tracking system
  • Conduct pre-screens, interviews, reference checks
  • Create offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Track and manage and coach workforce regarding vacation, paid time off, employee leaves, etc.
  • Manage and provide coaching and advice to leaders regarding employee relations
  • Develop policies and programs aligned to the MHG business and HR strategy
  • Act as main point of contact for immigration, agency and government programs
  • Plan and organize a variety of exciting employee events
  • Maintain and make recommendations regarding compensation
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests and provide guidance and assistance
  • Assist leaders and employees in performance management process
  • Assist with coordinating training sessions and seminars
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update employee records
  • Produce and submit HR reports
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
  • Support other functions as required

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business with concentration in Human Resources or relevant experience
  • 1+ year of Human Resources experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, ability to think and learn on the fly
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
