Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Database Administrator to support our Information Technology team.

 

The Database Administrator will support our Information Technology team by planning, developing, and troubleshooting a database. This individual should have a background in computer science or related field.

 

Essential Functions

 

·         Establish the needs of users and monitoring user access and security.

·         Map out the conceptual design for a planned database.

·         Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans.

·         Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.

·         Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.

·         Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.

·         Supervision of modifications to any existing database software to meet the needs of their employer.

·         Ability to analyze query performance and perform query optimization.

·         Manage database file structure and expand/shrink as needed.

·         Monitor and optimize SQL server log files.

·         Develop and maintain SSIS packages including C# script tasks.

·         Create and maintain SQL agent jobs.

·         Enable and monitor SQL server replication jobs.

·         Install, upgrade and patch SQL server software.

·         Experience using Operating Systems.

·         Proficiency in SQL/SSI server.     

·         Experience with Windows Server 2016. 

·         Proficiency with MS/SQL Server 2016.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in IT.

·         Experience using Operating Systems.

·         Proficiency in SQL/SSI server.

·         Experience in database management and maintenance.

You must be able to work in the office Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Working remotely is not permitted.
