Pay:
- Local: 2,623.72 per week
- Travel: 2,880.72 per week
Schedule
- Full-time contract schedule, commonly 36 to 40 hours per week depending on facility needs.
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday rotation based on department coverage.
Job Summary
CT Technologists perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images for physician interpretation. These roles are commonly used in hospitals, trauma centers, emergency departments, and outpatient imaging settings for local and travel contract assignments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, position, and educate patients for CT imaging procedures while confirming patient identity and exam orders
- Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
- Administer contrast agents when permitted, monitor patients for reactions, and follow safety procedures for contrast use.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and complete documentation in the electronic medical record and radiology systems.
- Follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention measures, and department quality protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current ARRT certification; CT-specific credentials may be required by the facility.
- Active state licensure if required in the assignment state.
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent CT Tech experience preferred for contract and travel assignments.
- Strong patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills in fast-paced imaging environments.
