The Hotel on Pownal proudly provides 45 guest rooms centrally located for both leisure and business travelers. From a deluxe continental breakfast catering to a variety of dietary needs, to freshly baked cookies every afternoon, and a weeknight guest reception offering complimentary wine and local handcrafted beer, we pride ourselves in offering great value with a distinct hotel experience like no other on Prince Edward Island.
As a Seasonal Gardener, You Will
- Maintain gardens to ensure specific requirements and expectations are met
- Perform basic maintenance such as watering flowers, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking
- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and plants
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers
- Maintain clean gardens by clearing garbage from the gardens and grounds.
- Provide guidance to management on matters related to the gardens
- Other duties as required
Who You Are
- Positive attitude and friendly personality
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends, as required
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working in outdoor conditions for long periods of time
- Physically fit and able to operate small and heavy machinery
- Hours of work are either 5am-8am or 6am-9am. 10-12 hours weekly
