Job Summary: The Lacrosse Outreach Coordinator (LOC) is a part-time position that will report to Living Classrooms with additional oversight from US Lacrosse. The LOC will assist in planning, promoting, and implementing a sustainable lacrosse development model in Baltimore City. The LOC will collaborate with other local programs and leagues to prioritize lacrosse growth and sustainability for elementary and middle school grade boys and girls. The LOC will also coordinate with other local stakeholders to promote and implement the lacrosse play opportunities for Baltimore City students. The LOC will assist in formulating a replicable model, which can be utilized in other urban areas for sustained national growth of the sport. 


Essential Functions:
  • Serves as outreach coordinator for lacrosse programming offered in Baltimore City, with priority program activation to occur February-May and August-October, 2020.
  • Ensures lacrosse programming aligns with US Lacrosse Athlete Development Model (LADM) standards and best practices 
  • As a US Lacrosse certified coach, LOC will actively coach as well as recruit and assist in
  • Align the outreach and services programs and to assist in “tracking” schools, after-school programs and student athlete development.
  • Host introductory clinics for potential players and coaches at local schools 
  • Create awareness among, and enlist support from local area colleges  
  • Create awareness among, and enlist support from local community centers and programs 
  • Serves as liaison to US Lacrosse with regard to coach development, sport development, officials education and training needs.
  • Assist in developing short and long-term goals, objectives and performance metrics  
  • Perform related duties as assigned

 Job Qualifications:  

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a secondary or post-secondary lacrosse player, coach, or program administrator  
  • Experience with urban youth engagement and development 
  • Basic understanding of NCAA recruitment regulations and process 
  • Must be a USL Level 1 Certified coach or can commit to becoming certified within three months of employment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
