Graphic Designer Summer Student PHBI
The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. As Alberta’s leader in new home warranty products and services for 50 years, we continue to raise the bar to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.
This position resides with The Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC) and the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI) and Dweller Home Services.
Accountable for:
The successful incumbent will be accountable for helping create and improve the visual and media parts of e-learning courses. This includes designing graphics, editing videos, supporting content uploads on the Learning Management System (LMS), and working with the team to make learning content clear and engaging.
Work location: Calgary, Alberta
Term: May 20, 2025 to August 22, 2025
Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (35 hours/week)
Wage: $18/hour
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the position title are:
- Enhance existing graphical user interfaces for e-learning content.
- Edit professional, engaging audio and video content.
- Assist the instructional designer to create interactive layouts.
- Conversion of e-learning content across various software applications.
- Extract and source graphics as per instructional design requirements.
- Integrated media strategies for advertising and communications.
- Create graphical user interface and elements for digital and print media
- Support content uploads on the Learning Management System.
- Ability to learn new software applications.
Skills and Experience:

· Exhibits high standards of integrity and personal conduct.
· Possesses good judgment and has strong attention to detail.
· Possesses knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and has excellent computer skills.
· Ability to leverage social, digital, and media platforms to increase brand awareness
- Working towards a Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field is preferred
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia
- 1+ years experience in visual design and online course development is an asset
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign
- E-learning development and e-learning software familiarity is an asset
· Must be between 16-30 years old as this position is partially funded by the Canada Summer Student grant program
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education, in Accounting or Business Administration, or related area and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term. Candidates must be at least in the 2nd year of their Program.
- Available and legally authorized to work in Canada for at least 14 week full time work-term
