Corporate Accounting Manager - M&A

This is a remote role Full-time $100000.00-$150000.00/year

Responsible for the following functions:
This position will be directly responsible for the following functions:
· Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to Hydrofarm’s general ledger system; chart of account mapping; obtaining supplementary information for preparing monthly financial statements and fluctuation analyses
· Support the month-end closing including, but not limited to analyses, variance reports, reconciliations, and journal entries
· Support the preparation of required purchase accounting financial items to include journal entries, net working capital adjustments, accounting memoranda
· Assist in the research, evaluation, and documentation of technical accounting conclusions and reporting implications of complex transactions as well as general corporate accounting matters to assist in support of accounting policies
· Support accounting integration and consolidation, including assisting in integration of accounting systems and accounting policies and procedures and internal controls
· Leading and working with colleagues on operational integration of all processes 
· Work cross-functionally with other functions towards organizational goals and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related majors is required
  • CPA required (active status preferred) or Master Degree a plus
  • 7+ years of related experience required
  • Prior experience using of US GAAP principles and guidance
  • Prior experience of understanding internal controls / Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience working within ERP systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 a plus
  • Ability to problem solve, take initiative, and is highly motivated
  • Demonstrated performance in dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Attention to details and accuracy, high intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and sustain a high level of performance while working remotely.

Perferred experience and skills
  • Big 4 experience 
  • Fortune 1000 company experience 
  • Experience with manufacturing/distribution company 
  • Experience with multi-currency ledgers and an understanding of revaluation and translation.
