General Topics
The Representative, Accounts Receivable is responsible for the day to day processing of accounts receivable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. The role of the Representative, Accounts Receivable performs all job-related duties under the guidance and instruction of the Finance Manager
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain customer accounts
- Process daily and monthly invoicing of accounts
- Apply incoming payments, including checks, credit cards, wire transfers and EFTs
- Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies utilizing available resources
- Collect past due accounts, to include phone calls to customers
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Process customer credit cards
- Analyze situations properly and provide logical solutions
- Identify and escalate priority issues when necessary
- Maintain all files in a neat and organized manner
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident
Skills
- Minimum of three (3) years pervious general accounting experience, including accounts receivable invoicing, cash application processing and business to business collections
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and experience with ERP system
- Willing to learn and assist in multiple areas of the organization
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
