Home Security Field Technician


Frontier Technologies has an exciting new opportunity that we are recruiting for! We are looking for individuals who have excellent customer service, sound technical skills, and the commitment to ensuring all work we do is safe! As one of our Security Field Technicians, you will be responsible for installation and servicing of residential home security and automation products for our client. 

Responsibilities and Requirements 

  • Installation and troubleshooting of home security and automation products. 

  • Training new customers to ensure the use of their equipment is seamless.  

  • Provide expertise in technical troubleshooting either remotely or in person. 

  • Working at heights with ladders with appropriate safety measures.  

  • Kneeling, crouching, bending, and overhead work is required. 

  • Use of various hand tools including voltage meters. 

  • Ensuring vehicle and your stock is meticulously maintained and accounted for.  

  • Other duties assigned by manager. 



  • Minimum of grade 12 is required. 

  • Graduation from a recognized Electronics Program (NSCC, NBCC etc.) is considered an asset. 

  • Relevant industry installation and/or repair experience is considered an asset.  

  • Understanding and experience with 2GIG and Qolsys security products considered an asset. 

  • Understanding and experience with the alarm.com platform for automation considered and asset. 

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, holidays and emergency situations.  

  • Ability to travel through the HRM is required (valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract). 

  • Proven ability to work independently. 

  • High attention of detail and strong organizational skills.  

  • Satisfactory Criminal background check is required.
