Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist
Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experience Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team at Native American Bank. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, commercial loan documentation review, perform post-close reviews, and process commercial loan files ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The role is essential in facilitating the lending process and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Prepares and processes documents for new and renewal commercial loans, using either internal software (TruStage), or works with external vendors such as attorneys or SBA / USDA consultants. Responsible for complete closing package.
- Evaluates and analyzes internal credit approval and any supporting documentation to determine the necessary required loan documents needed to conform to the loan approval as well as enforce legality, proper lien position and collateral coverage.
- Documents all types of loans, including complex commercial loans guaranteed by governmental guarantors such as SBA, USDA, HUD and BIA, construction loans, and participation loans.
- Confirm supporting documents adhere to Bank’s Policies, Governmental Guarantors Policies and Federal Regulations (CRA, HMDA, OFAC, Flood (ensures adequate coverage is received prior to closing), and Patriot Act, Regulations B, Z, Appraisals, Environmental and Beneficial Ownership documents and similar.
- Coordinates closing by communicating with Borrowers, Lenders, Title Companies, Attorneys or other parties as appropriate. Collaborate with all parties as necessary to obtain correct supporting documentation, required financial monitoring, and any additional items needed to prepare documents and perfect our security interest.
- Runs UCC searches, credit and D&B searches, reviews title commitment, settlement statements, and resolves any requirements and exceptions for closing.
- Disburses loans, sends wires.
- Enters new loans to the core system with a high level of accuracy, ensuring all records and system entries are complete and compliant.
- Ensure collateral is perfected accurately and in timely manner.
- Images files into cold storage.
- Assists with payoff processing, loan maintenance requests, and follow-up tasks related to outstanding items.
- Prepares Adverse Actions, reviews for Reg B compliance
- Performs post-close review and quality assurance
- Additional / Growth responsibilities (based on prior experience): process or assisting processing of construction draw requests.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong background (3-5 years) of hands-on Commercial Loan documentation experience, in commercial loan operations within a bank, credit union, or financial institution documenting all types of commercial loans.
- Knowledge of construction loans and experience in processing construction draws is preferred.
- 3-5 years of extensive TruStage loan software system (or equivalent) experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and remain cognizant of deadlines and schedules
- Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and evolving needs
- Capacity to make independent decisions
- Ability to work independently, in a remote environment, and with minimal supervision
- Personal computer skills to include various banking systems software packages
- Basic knowledge of related state and federal loan regulations and other Bank lending policies.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

- The annual salary range for this full-time position: $68,000 - $103,000.
