Lettershop Machine Operator


Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the Lettershop Machine Operator is to operate mail inserting equipment and to meet all company, quality, accuracy, customer service objectives and productivity goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate and maintain applicable inserting equipment (Bell+Howell, Pitney Bowes, etc.) with inline camera input and exit scanning technologies (JetVision, LakeImage or DDS systems).
Manual assembly or bindery (hand gathering, inserting, packaging, etc).

Checking quality of the materials being inserted (statements, letters, return or outer mailing envelopes, buckslips, etc) and relaying any quality issues to Production Supervisor.
Reviewing production dockets and fully executing job instructions as specified.
Accounting for all printed materials for each work docket/job order.
Entering production data into Formost mediaOne proprietary computer systems.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and production work area.
Work overtime as needed and assigned by Production Supervisor.
Must be familiar with applicable Facility Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures, Work Safety Practices, WHMIS Regulations and Corporate Policies.
Assists in other production related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

Abilities Required:

Communicates job related information and expresses ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
Basic math skills and computer knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of Canada Post/USPS rules and regulations
Ability to read and write English proficiently.
Attention to detail.
