The Product Designer will be responsible to define user interface specifications, will communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, motion animation, and screen designs to stakeholders.

DESIGN & CREATE – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Create a positive experience – You will create design guides and ensure consistency in visual elements across the product lines. Enhancing overall user experience for our products, creating product interfaces that are intuitive to use, logically flow from one step to the next, support the brand, and increase customer satisfaction.
+ Work with a team - You will collaborate with our Product Analysts, Business Analysts, Front End Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to create user experiences for new and updated products. The designer will understand competitive products, and develop and maintain design wireframes, mock-ups, and specifications as needed. We feel that exceptional and inventive development comes naturally to teams that are having fun and working together.
+ Take our product to the next level – Design mock-ups to test screen layouts, workflow, and behavior of visual elements. Create style guides and ensure consistency in visual elements across the product lines. As the user-advocate on our agile teams during the development process, subject early-stage designs to usability acceptance testing (UAT) or expert review and offer implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
+ Experience in User Experience and User Interface design
+ Strong conceptualization abilities and drawing skills
+ Strong problem solving skills with both analytical thinking and innovative ideas
+ Familiarity with various technologies such as: Adobe XD or Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator
+ Strong technical writing skills
+ Understanding of the software development life cycle and best practices, including Agile
+ Experience with prototype tools such as Invision or Adobe XD
+ Comfortable working with clients
The Product Designer works out of the Payworks Winnipeg Office; however to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone during the pandemic, employees are currently working remotely. Capitalizing on technology in new ways has allowed us to connect as a team and continue to collaborate virtually despite being physically apart.
