We haul and process used passenger, truck, industrial and agricultural tires. Job Duties:

  • Work within our tire recycling environment to maintain the plant's machinery and equipment, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the processing line
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLCs and other controls, safety sensors and wiring
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures aimed at minimizing downtime and maintenance costs, and maximizing equipment efficiency
  • Perform emergency repair work; troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions
  • Ensure that all work meets regulatory guidelines, manufacturers' specifications and internal maintenance standards
  • Maintain proper documentation including logs, maintenance records, safety and environmental reports
  • Ability to work on and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings and gears in addition to all types of electrical devices
  • Perform daily checks and diagnostics on equipment as directed
  • Observe safe work practices

Job Requirement:

  • Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A
  • Construction and Maintenance qualification considered a strong asset
  • A knowledge of and ability to work with all types of hand tools
  • Demonstrated working knowledge with hand tools, applicable software (PLCs)
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Previous experience of using computer software applicable to maintenance operations
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, robotics and PLC controlled machinery
  • Knowledge and experience in reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
  • Punctual, reliable, team player.
