What We Are Seeking
The Project Manager is a management level position that will be responsible for overseeing the project team in the coordination of all phases of the project from pre-design to site administration. As a Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the consultant coordination, client relations and project communication. Duties include:
- Attending job site meetings with the Project Manager and/or the Project Director
- Reviewing and communicating current project status to the Partner in Charge at regular intervals
- Leading the project team to manage the timely completion of technical and/or administrative tasks throughout the building design process from design development, contract documentation, tender phase and site administration to project completion
- Being responsible for establishing, maintaining and adhering to project budget and schedule.
- Taking an active role in client relations through the design process and consultant coordination through project development of contract documents and/or site administration under the supervision of the Partner in Charge
- Leading the development of contract drawing and specification procedures and directing the completion of design/contract documents to relevant office, development bylaw and building code standards.
- Developing the practice of basic office administration procedures including the creation of relevant project documentation: minutes of meetings, transmittal of project material, applications to authorities etc. and filing systems by all project staff to organize of all related project information and correspondence
- Managing and overseeing the quality assurance of deliverables for responsible projects
- Attending site meetings, complete shop drawing review and provide contract administration support, as required
- As a member of our team, you are expected to actively adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures established by the company. This includes understanding and following all relevant guidelines, participating in mandatory training sessions, and consistently practicing safe work habits. You are responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your commitment to maintaining a safe workplace is crucial to the well-being of all employees and the overall success of our operations.
What You Will Bring
- Degree in Architecture from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years in related architectural work and registered with AAA for a minimum of 10 years
- Demonstrated delivery experience as a project manager within residential
- Complex building project experience
- Advanced BIM experience
- Ability to motivate and drive collaboration amongst team members
- Assure project compliance with architectural office procedures and related architectural drawing standards
- Lead the building design process from conceptual design to contract documents and site administration
- Full knowledge of local construction systems and related detailing including the integration of sustainable building design criteria
- LEED® AP preferred
- PMP certification an asset
- This position may require the ability to travel as needed. Travel may include visiting client sites, attending meetings, participating in training sessions, and representing the company at industry events.
