An important member of FMO’s client support team, the Graphic Designer will carry a wide range of responsibilities with a special focus on providing graphic design support on key internal and external initiatives across the company.

 The ideal candidate must be a confident self-starter, an out-of-the box thinker with demonstrated creative flair, a strong visual sense and with the ability to multi-task.

 Key Activities

  • Design various types of content for both print and digital media, including but not limited to: GIFs, infographics, HTML emails, custom templates, email banners, ads, decks, social media posts, block kits, websites, etc.
  • Create scalable marketing materials and collateral that can be leveraged for various marketing purposes and that engages various audiences
  • Collaborate to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Effectively present and communicate creative design and strategy to the internal clients in both formal and day-to-day scenarios
  • Adhere to project deadlines, ensuring all content is accurate, timely, relevant, compelling, and appropriate for the intended audience

 

Must Have Skills

  • Post-secondary education in graphic design
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a designer role
  • Advanced knowledge of all Adobe CC suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript
  • Significant experience in designing for digital / online media
  • Sophisticated design sense, strong understanding of typography and the creative ideation/design process
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Website and UX/UI design experience is an asset

Nice To Have

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is not required but considered an asset
  • Agency experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience working to support large format printing (HP TXXX Inkjet Printers)
  • Production Support Background – Working in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements using different software creation/support programs
