National Hydroponics Account Manager

We are currently looking for National Account Manager

The Account Manager will act as a point of contact and lead all fronts Hydrofarm’s relationship with one of our key customers. They will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships, always striving to find opportunities to generate more revenue for the client and the company.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

This role will have full HYFM responsibility for the development of the National Account.  This individual will lead strategic development plan for HYFM at customer (consistent with company strategic direction across a vast portfolio of products) and insure tactical execution through the local selling organizations of HYFM.   Relationship building at the Corporate level of customer will be paramount in order to drive PROFITABLE REVENUE GROWTH.   In addition, this person will need to work closely with the HYFM Selling Organization to coordinate both the retail and commercial development of the  account – HQ in Denver CO. 

JOB Duties

o   Act as the main point of contact for the Grow Generation & OWN the Customer Plan Achievement

o   Work closely with the internal HYFM teams of Marketing, Category Mgrmnt and Trade Marketing to leverage insights and align on strategic priorities, investment levels and revenue expectations. 

o   Identify revenue opportunities for the customer and the company – drive the execution of those, leveraging both customer's resources and HYFM local and corporate resources as needed. 

o   Respond to clients inquiries received via any source of communication

o   Multi-task between various inquiries and systems in a fast-paced environment

o   Resolve problems by investigating the presented issues in our backoffice, consulting with other departments and/or researching under the specific client’s account

o   Actively listen to each client in order to gain perfect understanding of their individualized needs and business

o   Identify industry trends to gain competitive advantages

o   Properly manage client’s expectations and follow through on commitments

o   Collaborate with various departments and team members in order to solve inquiries

Experience Requirements:

o   Account Management experience (7+yrs)

o   Sales experience (5+ yrs)

o   Knowledge of Hydroponics business and or fast paced retails requirements (CPG)
