Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

As a CNA, you will play an essential role in helping residents maintain their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility.

• Obtain and record vital signs.

• Collect routine specimens as directed.

• Perform restorative nursing activities to promote resident independence.

• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Answer resident call lights promptly and provide compassionate assistance.

• Complete routine safety, drying, and comfort rounds.

• Accurately record resident intake and output.

• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition, safety concerns, or potential hazards.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of resident care.

• Provide courteous assistance to residents, families, and visitors while supporting a positive team environment.

• Assist with maintaining clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and nursing units.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

• Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required.

• Current CPR certification preferred.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
