Getting the Job Done:

·       Provide guests and team members with professional, efficient, courteous and genuine hospitality.

·       Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to train and develop team members.

·       Demonstrates a leadership ability that inspires and empowers team members to succeed, grow and develop.

·       Lead the team to anticipate guest’s needs and offer services prior to being asked.

·       Prepares annual strategic sales plan and revenue budget and aligns with GM for overall sales and marketing strategic plan.

·       Maintains and conducts industry market research to project future business and trends.

·       Daily management of the Sales department which includes but is not limited to; completing weekly and monthly reports as required, scheduling and completing sales calls, conducting sales generating events, supervising, training, coaching and counseling of team members ensuring sales goals are met.

·       Ensure weekly sales meetings are conducted and update the GM on progress and successes.

·       Hold yourself and team accountable to meet monthly revenue and prospecting goals.

·       Manage group yields with the support of the GM and/or Revenue Manager.

·       Monitors the performance of the Sales team to goals and provides informal and formal feedback in accordance with the performance development policy and procedure.

·       Maintains the department standards and use of the systems; utilize reports to identify RevPar and Occupancy opportunities.

·       Maintain open and professional communication with other department heads and supervisors to ensure the needs of the guests and team members are addressed timely.

·       Maintain relationships and is an active member in the community; attend networking events regularly.

·       Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients through effective and timely communication and fully understanding all of their needs and requirements for executing successful events.

·       Monitor Brand Service Scores and support the GM in taking the appropriate action to ensure scores are communicated to the team and maintained above the Brand average.

·       Participates in the Property’s Manager on Duty program as needed and understands the role of being a property leader.

·       Ensures team attends all mandatory meetings and timely completes all required training.

Experience for Success:

·       2 years of experience in Sales/Marketing management

·       High School Diploma; College Degree a plus

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; a second language a plus

·       Financial skills including budget management, expense control, profit management and forecasting

·       Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think out of the box

·       Strong negotiation, presentation and computer skills
