Requirements:

Flexible Schedule to include day/evening/weekend/holidays

Valid Liquor License

Ability to communicate with guests

Ability to adapt quickly to changes/requests

Schedule is based on the needs of the hotel and will vary based on volume of events scheduled.  The ability to assist in the restaurant as needed will be beneficial in maintaining hours when events are limited.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:


Arrange tables and chairs per the guidelines provided

Ensure appearance of all event spaces are appropriate for the type of event

o    Proper decorations (centerpieces, table décor, etc…)

o    Food displays look appealing

Service events

o    Serve guests food and beverage

o    Clear tables as needed

o    Coordinate team members working event

o    Monitor buffet lines

o    Monitor event to ensure no outside beverages are brought in

Coordinate pre-event set up

o    Coordinate team members working to ensure all pre sets are completed

o    Walk event space to ensure table set ups are consistent

Post Event Clean Up

o    Coordinate with team members working event to ensure all items are returned to their proper place in a clean and organized manner

  •  Dishes taken to kitchen
  •  Salt/Pepper shakers and centerpieces returned to banquet storage room and stored in proper place
  •  Chafers emptied and cleaned before storing
  •  Linens taken to laundry – stained linens pre treated

Maintain clean and organized storage area

Work with Food & Beverage Director on items that are needed

  • Dishes, napkins, linens, paper products, etc…

Maintain event space cleanliness – includes trash cans, counters, chairs, carpets

  •  Notify GM of carpet cleaning needs or any items that are in need of repair

Attend Weekly BEO meeting with Sales Team

Work closely with Sales Assistant in completing all duties assigned.

 

This list is not inclusive of all duties that may be required for this position.  Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the hotel and/or guests hosting events at the hotel.  This position will work closely with the sales team to ensure all events meet guests’ satisfaction and support the reputation of the hotel.
