Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, the Warehouse Clerk will manage the inventory, ingress and egress of materials and parts required for the day-to-day operations of the mine's various sectors.  Based at the Windfall site, located in the Nord-du-Québec region, he will be called upon to work a schedule of 15 days on, 13 days off. Transportation, lodging and meals provided. 


Duties and responsibilities                

  • Coordinate warehouse activities and inventory issue and control access;
  • Manage inventories, incoming and outgoing materials and parts required for daily operations in the various areas of the mine;
  • Receive and unload materials in the warehouse on the mine site;
  • Identify and place materials in the warehouse in an orderly fashion, ensuring that they are correctly located to ensure accessibility;
  • Handle material inside the warehouse;
  • Maintain up-to-date records and a computerized inventory system;
  • Participate in stocktaking to verify that quantities in the warehouse match the inventory quantities in their system;
  • Unload merchandise from delivery trucks on occasion, using safe lifting techniques;
  • Deposit boxes received in designated areas in an orderly fashion;
  • Carefully check all boxes to ensure that the merchandise is correct;
  • Check for discrepancies, missing items or damaged goods and notify the supplier immediately;
  • Prepare materials for shipment and complete appropriate documentation;
  • Electronically receive each order received on a daily basis;
  • Keep your work area clean, tidy and safe;
  • Report to your supervisor any situations that may affect your work, as well as any suggestions for improvement and innovative ideas to improve the supply process;
  • Comply at all times with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and regulations;
  • Perform any other tasks related to the Warehouse Clerk position that are relevant to the success of the project.


Qualifications required

  • High school diploma; 
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • Mining modules (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7), (an asset);
  • Ability to use standard software.


Technical skills

  • Proficiency in Office suite software (Excel, Outlook, etc.);
  • Knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. Guide TI);
  • Operation of "Skytrack" type lifting equipment.


Basic skills

  • Organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate autonomy;
  • Rigor and precision in his work;
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment;
  • Enjoys working as part of a team, able to create and maintain good relations and demonstrate courtesy;
  • Ability to work in remote areas and on atypical schedules.
