Mortgage Processor
We are seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor who is passionate about delivering excellent service and helping members achieve their homeownership goals. In this role, you will manage residential mortgage loan files from application through closing, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with credit union policies, investor guidelines, and federal regulations.
This position combines both loan officer and processing responsibilities, offering full control of the loan pipeline from origination through funding and servicing.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing a mortgage pipeline while working collaboratively with members, loan officers, and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview members in person and over the phone to collect loan application information and identify appropriate mortgage products
- Determine required documentation and gather supporting materials needed to process mortgage applications
- Prepare, review, and maintain loan files to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and meets loan conditions
- Issue required disclosures in compliance with federal and state regulations, including TRID and TILA requirements
- Order and coordinate all necessary third-party services, including appraisals, title work, and verifications
- Ensure loan pricing and documentation comply with credit union policies and investor guidelines
- Communicate with members and third-party vendors to keep loans progressing toward closing
- Maintain full control of the loan pipeline as both loan officer and processor
- Fund and service your own loan portfolio
- Proactively manage and monitor the loan processing pipeline to ensure timely closings and a positive member experience
Qualifications
- 3+ years of recent mortgage loan processing experience
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations, including TRID and TILA
- Experience managing multiple loan files in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Calyx Point, Outlook, and Microsoft Office (including Excel)
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Work Schedule
- Full-time, in-office position
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts (start time may vary)
- Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
