JOB SUMMARY

 

The Project Coordinator is responsible for nurturing client customer relations, assisting them with their projects, and scheduling production of material. Responsible for using computer software such as STACK-IT, to build out structure. 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

 

The position reports to the Project and Scheduling Manager

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Once assigned a project by the Project and Scheduling Manager, ascertain the scope of said project, the timeline to completion, and all contacts involved.

 

Create and/or attain all needed material (i.e.: submittals, special materials, current plans, estimate to customer, purchase order, etc.) to execute the project.

 

Define the starting point of the project, via the customer and/or contractor, & what their expected timelines are versus what can be achieved through production scheduling.

 

Use STACK-IT to create all production take-offs from the project release & verify the current plans and approved submittals, prior to releasing any material for production.

 

Read and Interpret civil plans/blueprints, drawings and specifications.

 

Coordinate with the Project and Scheduling Manager, to produce said product in order to meet the timeline needed to complete the project obligations (aka Release and Shipping dates) in an efficient manner.

 

Once the timeline of production has been established, stay in constant contact with the customer throughout the project; providing updates, delivery notifications, change orders, etc., until the project is completed.

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform other duties as directed by Project and Scheduling Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple customer needs at once.

 

Have good interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal with customers on a daily basis.

 

Above average math skills, especially geometry using protractor.

 

The ability to work in a team setting and coordinate well with others.

 

Goal oriented with attention to detail and sensitive timelines.

 

Good computer skills that include how to navigate Excel, Word, and other Office programs.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience are aligned with our company’s Vision and Guiding Principles.

 

REQUIRED

 

Associates Degree preferred, with 2 years customer service experience, or equivalent years of experience in the Civil Engineering, Utility, Water, Sewer fields or related experience in the Precast Industry.

 

PREFERRED

 Working knowledge of the STACK-IT (computer precast takeoff system) or equivalent


 


 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

Work is primarily sedentary in nature; no special demands are required; is sufficient.
