Concessions Cook

Concessions Cooks are responsible for ensuring Mallards fans receive the freshest food possible in a timely manner. Interested candidates should have previous kitchen experience and be able to work in a fast paced, hot environment.  


Responsibilities Include:

  • Follow specific food preparation and sanitation guidelines designed to create a consistently quality product.
  • Learning and maintaining proper usage of grills and fryers.
  • Communicating with concessions runners and cashiers to fulfill customers' orders.
  • Communicating with full-time staff when the situation calls for it.
  • Working in a group kitchen setting.


Concessions Cooks are hired on a part-time, seasonal basis for the Madison Mallards and Madison Softball seasons. A typical season runs from mid-May to mid-August. Scheduled hours are usually afternoons and evenings, including weekdays and weekends. The minimum age to work as a Concessions Cook is 16 years. Candidates will be employed by the Madison Mallards food and beverage company, Mendota Hospitality.
