POSITION SUMMARY: Works closely with Receiving Manager/Supervisor to ensure
efficient operation of the Receiving Department. The Receiver is responsible
for ensuring all products are delivered to their assigned department or area
The Receiver may also pack out and stock product and materials to ensure
continuous availability for venue staff. The goal is to accelerate
business development by keeping all venues accurately and efficiently stocked
for smooth operations.
*This receiving position will be employed in a high-volume bar and restaurant. No operating of heavy machinery is required in this role.*
Remove pallets from delivery trucks and ensure product is
accurately received, stocked, and replenished.
Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products.
Store incoming deliveries in/on bins, pallets, shelves,
racks, coolers, etc.
Separate received orders by venue; moving, handling, and
transporting product to each department carefully and accurately.
Reports damages or shortages to Supervisor.
Understand and prepare for the physical demands of moving
product the majority of his/her shift, and follow proper lifting guidelines to
ensure safe moving and placement of product.
Appropriately organize materials and product, and stock to
set up venues for sales success.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
At least 6 months of experience in area of
Must be able to read, write and understand simple
instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations,
including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and computing
percentages and ratios
Previous experience in receiving, handling, and
stocking in retail or warehouse/distribution environments preferred
