Job description: The Banquet Captain oversees all food and beverage deliveries for functions held in the hotel and all details pertaining to functions being held in all banquet and meeting rooms. The position is primarily concerned with front of house activities. The Banquet Captain will ensure quality of food and service.
Job responsibilities -
- Achieve maximum profitability and overall success by controlling costs and quality of service
- Control of all banquet equipment and inventory
- Ensure events are set up on time
- Observes food being served to ensure that food is correctly portioned and arranged
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation
- Clearly delegates responsibilities among banquet staff
- Confirm details of function with client contact
- Manage last minute changes
Requirements -
- Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a similar role
