Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Human Resources Coordinator will support their designated business units, work closely with the HR Advisors and the broader HR team. While working independently, success comes from the ability to work collaboratively across a decentralized model, understand and support transformational initiatives, have strong critical thinking skills and manage a busy and dynamic workload. Key areas of focus include HR administration, full-cycle recruitment support, training, payroll, and benefit support.

  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent combination of experience and education, CPHR designation is an asset
  • Proven business acumen, great communication skills, and policy knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking is a must
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to prioritize and strong time management skills  
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Integrity, discretion and judgment with tact and diplomacy on confidential matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
  • Prior experience with human information systems and/or SharePoint


  • This is a permanent part time, 20 hours per week position Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work
  • Potential to become full time in the future
  • A medium level of physical fitness is necessary
