The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator oversees all occupational/environmental health and safety functions for the University.  The Coordinator serves as the chair of the University PA State Certified Safety Committee.  The Coordinator services as the main point of contact for all regulatory agencies, e.g. DEP, EPA, and OSHA.  This position will also oversee all fire prevention practices and programs for the University.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree Required or equivalent Safety certifications
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Ability to create and execute safety programs that engage employees and enable a safe work culture
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects and effectively  collaborate with all levels of faculty and staff
  • Training and experience in incident investigation (Cause and Effects analysis)
  • Knowledge of current OSHA, EPA, and DEP regulations required
  • Knowledge of Chemical Safety protocols
  • Knowledge of current NFPA and fire presentation practices and codes required
  • Knowledge of Windows and Office products required
