Vice-President, Digital Banking & Marketing


The Vice-President, Digital Banking & Marketing provides operational leadership, sales leadership and tactical business planning over Cambrian’s integrated Digital Banking strategy. With a mandate of growth and enhanced member experience, the Vice-President, Digital Banking & Marketing will integrate the evolving digital banking experience with contemporary marketing techniques and the optimization of in market campaigns to deliver a compelling value proposition.  The incumbent will collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a member-centered digital experience through continuously improving digital banking solutions, websites and other member engagement tools to strengthen member relationships and attain a variety of business objectives.

In the role of Vice-President, Digital Banking and Marketing, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of digital strategies, initiatives and solutions that drive innovation and create competitive advantages in online/mobile member experience.
  • Develop and continually review Cambrian’s digital roadmap, outlining clear goals and objectives.  Lead the transformation of the overall digital experience for members.
  • Provide leadership to an agile and results oriented digital marketing team, working collaboratively to increase awareness and reach with target audiences, develop compelling product value proposition messaging, and optimizing in-market campaigns according to research and results.
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing approach that will engage members (and prospective members) through digital channels, resulting in online conversions that provide members with advice or referral to an internal partner.
  • Oversee and support the Manager, Direct Sales & Service in leadership of the contact centre to achieve objectives while delivering best in class digital support, integrating and prioritizing activities with the overall digital strategy.
  • Work closely with the Communications team on the coordination of social media strategy and content, incorporating marketing campaigns where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders on the development and implementation of Cambrian’s branding.  Ensure the brand is well reflected in all digital touchpoints and marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to leverage data analytics across all digital initiatives and touchpoints in alignment with the marketing strategy.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting for digital solutions, marketing initiatives and support team, to evaluate performance against desired results.
  • Explore new market and distribution opportunities that align to strategy and lead to profitably expanding the reach of Cambrian’s retail products and services.

Your experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive digital marketing experience in a corporate environment, plus a minimum five years of experience leading a direct sales team.
  • Knowledge in the following competencies: Digital marketing strategies and techniques; Social media and digital marketing platforms; SEO, SEM and digital advertising; data analysis and writing skills; direct sales leadership; retail banking, credit and investment services; people and change management; project management and business planning; financial management, budgeting & forecasting.
