As a Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for working in partnership with all entities in the assigned region to coordinate, implement, the Pinnacle Treatment Centers (PTC)/ Aegis Compliance program.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

In conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer coordinate on-site PTC/Aegis entity compliance and privacy activities.

Investigate, document compliance, privacy and risk management issues and inquiries.

 

Work collaboratively with operations team members to ensure compliance with 42 C.F.R. part 2, HIPAA regulations.

 

Manage and oversee the internal  reporting database,  and tracking of internal investigations.

 

Participate in all work projects and committees applicable to Compliance, Risk Management, Privacy and Data Security and other groups.

The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day compliance program function in her/his region.

Conduct at least quarterly site visits to assess the compliance program.

 

Plan, conduct and complete reviews for coding and/or documentation accuracy and compliance with federal/state regulations and guidelines. 

 

Conducting compliance/privacy/risk related education programs at the sites.

 

Facilitating action plan follow through of compliance/privacy audit findings.

 

Demonstrating strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations (e.g.,42 C.F.R. part 2, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, Anti-Kickback, and Fraud and Abuse laws, False Claims Act) in order to coordinate an effective Compliance Program.

 

Conduct and complete reviews in other areas of compliance and related operations as identified in the risk assessment process. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field is preferred. Experience in Substance Use Disorder and healthcare Corporate Compliance preferred. 

 

Certified as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC), and Certified Compliance Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
