The Graduate Assistant (GA) position in the
Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) works collaboratively with the
Associate Vice President for DEI to provide support in engaging with the
University’s diverse student populations.
The GA will engage with diverse student leaders and develop activities
as needed to assist in their leadership development, create collaborations with
the diverse student organizations on campus, engage with Student Life
professionals and promote cultural awareness by coordinating events to honor
ethnic heritage months (such as, African American Heritage Month, Hispanic
Heritage Month, Native American Heritage Month, Women’s History Month,
Acceptance to, and
continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program required (Master’s
in Higher Education program preferred)
Experience in Higher
Education encouraged, experiences in student engagement and support preferred.
Experience in an
academic setting is strongly preferred.
