We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Medical Social Worker to join our skilled Social Work Team in Voorhees, NJ

About Us: Voorhees Pediatric Facility (VPF) is a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center with 119 inpatient beds and the largest freestanding pediatric ventilator program in the country. VPF is Joint Commission–accredited at the highest level and provides care for medically fragile children across inpatient, rehabilitation, medical daycare, and educational programs through The Bancroft School at VPF. We deliver care through a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on the whole child.

As a Medical Social Worker, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing social work services to residents, families, and significant others to support coping with illness, disability, and extended care placement.

• Assisting residents in maximizing the benefits of health care and community resources and services.

• Coordinating care and services in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

• Supporting each resident in achieving and maintaining the highest level of physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being.

• Providing services in accordance with individualized assessments and comprehensive plans of care.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work Degree from an accredited School of Social Work, Master Degree of Social work preferred

• Valid New Jersey Social Work License, issued from the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners

• Minimum of two years healthcare experience, preferably with special needs children and families

• Proficient in computer use and standard office software applications.

Schedule:

• 24 hours per week

• Flexible Schedule

Compensation: Hourly rate is determined by education and experience.

•      Bachelor's Degree of Social Work: $29.66 - $33.09

•      Master's Degree of Social Work: $31.74 - $35.41
