About the Role

We're looking for a dependable, motivated Lead Driver to help oversee the daily activities of a team of drivers transporting vehicles between locations. In this role, you'll lead by example, ensuring drivers follow company procedures, work efficiently, and provide quality service while keeping operations running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in helping a team succeed.

Responsibilities

·       Lead and assist a team of drivers throughout the workday.

·       Ensure drivers understand their assigned deliveries and routes.

·       Verify all vehicles receive a thorough pre-trip inspection, including checking fluid levels and documenting vehicle condition.

·       Ensure drivers follow the company's inspection process accurately and completely.

·       Monitor driver productivity and route efficiency, helping eliminate unnecessary stops and delays.

·       Provide guidance and support to drivers while on the road.

·       Communicate operational issues, delays, accidents, or concerns to the Operations Supervisor promptly.

·       Promote safe driving practices and company policies.

·       Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and customer service.

Qualifications

·       Transportation, logistics, or vehicle transportation experience preferred but not required.

·       Previous leadership or management experience preferred.

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Ability to lead a team and work independently.

·       Dependable with excellent time management.

·       Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background

·       Ability to work outdoors and be on your feet throughout the day.

Compensation & Schedule
