Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Wedding and Event Sales Manager is responsible for producing Sales & Catering revenue with a primary focus on weddings and events at ICONA Windrift. The sales manager solicits new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques. The Wedding and Event Sales Manager acts as the first point of contact for clients interested in hosting their event with ICONA. This role will establish relationships with potential clients and book events to meet quarterly and annual sales goals.
Essential Functions

Initiate and develop quality leads and follow up within 24 hours to ensure continued revenue growth and achievement of annual sales targets.
Schedule and conduct site tours with prospective clients, while representing the ICONA brand in a professional and courteous manner while touring the venues.
Prepare and execute contracts in an accurate and timely manner.
Enhance and develop existing menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
Post deposits and payments in accordance with company cash handling policies. This may include sending receipts to clients and tracking financial information to ensure full payment is received before services are rendered.
Assist with the development, implementation, and management of annual budget for wedding sales in conjunction with overall sales and marketing plan of the company.
Meet and collaborate with fellow sales team members to educate and enhance sales tactics and techniques.
Attend local/regional networking events to obtain potential clients.
Train, mentor, and manage Wedding and Events Coordinator.
Participate in weekly meetings and day-of pre-shift meetings with Food & Beverage department to ensure proper event setup and service.
Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure successful social events.
Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors.
Assist with day of event coordination to ensure performance standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Work Manager on Duty shifts as needed.
Prepare, review and execute thorough Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for each event to ensure that event space is set to guests’ needs.
Monitor and maintain existing catering menus and create opportunities to upsell food and beverage items and services.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of all amenities and services offered at the Resort.
Consistently work to exceed client’s expectations by proactively anticipating their needs.
Track and maintain sales performance and PACE reporting systems and presentations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Attends mandatory weekly Aloha Culture Meetings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and requires forty, plus hours to include nights, weekends and holidays. High season schedules require Management Staff to work 6 days weeks.

No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol.
Prior Hotel Catering Sales experience
