CLASS A DRIVER - FLATBED REGIONAL

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.

This is contingent on passing a drug screen and background.

• If you are tired of being out 1, 2, 3 weeks at a time, you need to look here! We have GREAT home time and drivers are home 99% of the weekends. 

PAY starts at 30% of the load. 

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of trucks including Stick shift tractor-trailers and flatbeds.
• Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries while considering traffic conditions and road regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating various truck types: tractor-trailer, flatbed.
• Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
• Commitment to safety practices in all driving activities.
• The longer runs are mostly 500 miles or less and return to Mobile area next day.
• Max time out 2-3 nights per week. Other opportunities are occasionally available for slightly longer better paying runs.
• Local deliveries are also available.
• Many runs are flatbed so flatbed experience preferred.
• Container experience is also a plus.

We do have a few dry van and container runs that are all drop and hook, no touch, some nights and weekends.

We are a third generation, family owned, Hot Shot, Air Freight and Trucking company in Mobile, AL.

You MUST HAVE 2 years of experience or 1 year of proven driving school. Good driving record and DOT physical. of course, must take DOT drug test and use electronic log system. Need to have TWIC or get one. Must be able to drive stick shift tractor. Please do not apply if you do not fit these listed requirements.
