the direction of the Director of Marketing & Retail Banking, the Marketing
Specialist will be responsible for assisting in marketing and sales
initiatives that are focused on growing the bank’s lines of business, building
and protecting the company brand, increasing visibility and awareness, and
improving the customer experience. The
incumbent will work closely with bank partners to implement and track sales and
cross-selling initiatives; assist in the design of sales and marketing
campaigns; support branch business plans and outreach; organize, manage and
staff events; and work with partners to improve staff and customer adoption of
technology. The Specialist will work with
others in implementing projects, sales and cross-selling activities; check
postings, track and assist in managing social media; and manage email marketing
newsletters and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Implements, composes and manages
Email marketing to customer base segments and prospects
Assists bank partners with
marketing and sales support for customer outreach as well as community
activities, events and presentations
Assists in market and competitor
Creates reports utilizing a report
writer so that activities can be tracked to determine effectiveness of sales
initiatives as well as customer/account growth; attrition; household
penetration; account adoption, etc.
Assists in developing and communicating
marketing and sales initiatives including onboarding, sales campaigns; internal
sales competitions; tracking account/customer growth and attrition.

Maintain inventory of promotional
items and arrange for distribution to bank and meeting locations

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 2-3 years experience in
Sales and Marketing is required
Experience in a financial
institution is highly preferred.
Understanding of and experience in
market research, net promoter scoring, surveys and interpreting results
tracking changes over time.
Experience in digital channels
(social media, website, intranet) is required.
Retail experience in product sales,
preferably in financial services, is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills –
both written and verbal. Must be able to
compose letters, emails, newsletters, news releases, and other content to
inform customers, prospects, and the public.
Excellent organizational and
