Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Department: Accounting/Operations


Summary: The primary function of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Manager manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Manager provides full cycle HR support and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, organizational development, and employment by performing the following duties.


HR Manager Duties and Responsibilities are as Follows:




·       Works with Managers to write, develop and update job descriptions for new and existing positions.

·       Researches and provides industry related salary information.

·       Manages job postings and pre-screening tasks.

·       Recruits, interviews, tests, and assists with selecting employees to fill vacant positions.




·       Prepares and sends offer letters; coordinates all new hire paperwork and guides new hires through the onboarding process.

·       Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive experience for the employee, upon joining the company.

·       Ensure hiring manager(s) are ready with job specific training schedules.


Human Resources/ Personnel Management


·       Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, performance reviews and terminations, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.

·       Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; responds to inquiries regarding policies and procedures.

·       Maintains and revises the company’s handbook on policies and procedures.

·       Administers benefit programs such as health, dental, vision, life, short term and long-term disability, sick leave, leave of absence, and retirement programs.

·       Ensures policies, procedures and reporting are within compliance.

·       Working experience with applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, and ADA, to ensure compliance and minimize risk/exposure to the company.


 Performance Management


·       Creates and analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation.

·       Oversees and assists Managers with performance reviews and performance correction actions.

·       Fosters employee satisfaction and motivation.


Training and Development


·       Conducts management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and sexual harassment.

·       Creates and administers various human resources trainings for all company personnel.

·       Plans, organizes and executes training activities.

·       Identifies and coordinates opportunities for leadership development training.


Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements


       Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required.

       5 years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles.

       PHR/SPHR certification preferred.


Other Requirements

       Proficiency in MS Office Suite of programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

       Must have strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, professional demeanor and able to work as a collaborative team player.

       Individual must have the ability to work well under time constraints.

       Strong ability to take own initiative and work independently.
