Quality Control Technician - ACI and PCI Certified - Wilmington, NC

The Precast Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality of precast concrete products through testing, inspection, and documentation. The technician will work closely with production teams to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate must be ACI and PCI certified and have prior experience working in a precast concrete production facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conduct quality control tests and inspections on precast concrete products to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.

* Perform moisture tests, slump tests, air content tests, and other required quality control tests on raw materials and finished products.

* Monitor production processes to detect and correct product defects before they occur.

* Record and document all quality control test results, maintaining accurate records of all testing procedures and results.

* Work with production teams to identify process improvements that will increase product quality and efficiency.

* Communicate effectively with production teams and management to resolve quality control issues.

* Maintain knowledge of current advancements and trends in precast concrete technology, including changes in industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

* Participate in pre-production and post-production meetings to ensure all quality control issues are addressed and resolved.

Qualifications:

* ACI and PCI certification required.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

The Precast Concrete Quality Control Technician will occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time. The candidate must also have the ability to work in an outdoor environment, often in adverse weather conditions.
