Director of Healthy Living will successfully lead the fitness & wellness
department, providing quality programming and member engagement.
Director of Healthy Living will provide the leadership necessary to advance the
mission of the organization and is responsible for the development,
instruction, retention, maintenance, and staffing of all health and wellness
functions at the YMCA including, but not limited to: Group Exercise Classes,
Strength and Cardiovascular, Personal Training; Floor Trainers, Fitness
Assessments, and Youth Fitness Programs.
preferred candidate will have (5) five years' experience in the fitness
industry with at least (2) two years in a supervisory capacity.
degree from a four-year college/university in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or
a related field is preferred.
training certification through a reputable organization (i.e. ACE, ACSM, NASM).
CPR, First Aid, AED, and 02 within 60 days of hire.

Maintains or delegates appropriately administrative business
procedures of the department
Maintains current certifications in Personal Training, Group
Fitness, First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration
