Position Summary

 This position is responsible for processing deposit operations functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and bank policies, while providing a high level of service to customers and other departments of the Bank, maintaining high quality work standards, and identifying and mitigating risks associated with these functions.  This position will be cross trained for other functions in the Bank’s Deposit Sales Support area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

 

·  Perform timely and thorough review of potentially fraudulent images and transactions daily, taking prompt action to notify appropriate internal resources of suspect items. 

·  Provide timely review and processing of Mobile Deposited items

·  Monitor DSS Requests Inbox and process requests received, including dormancy removal, processing fee refunds and deposit rate exceptions

·  Research requests and adjustments from Customers and Bank Personnel, including compiling information for Verification of Deposit forms and SSI Verification

·  Complete General Ledger daily reconciliation and research

·  Provide support with all Cash Services Operations, including ordering Branch, ATM, Commercial and Foreign Currency

·  Process Foreign Check Collection

·  Complete transaction review to ensure all regulations and audit requests are met, to include Reg D review

·  Process interoffice mail

·  Scan documents for all Deposit Sales Support work

·  Provide support and assistance with various deposit product support functions, including Demand Deposit, Savings, CD, IRA, HSA, Safe Deposit Box, Sweep, etc. Product Setup and Review

·  Provide backup support to all other Deposit Sales Support functions, to include review of SSA and SSI death notices, processing Reclamations and Pre-Notifications, and Processing Levies, Garnishments and Bankruptcy requests

·  Meet service level targets regarding timely responses to customer/colleague requests and customer notices and mailings

·  Assist with internal and external audits

·  Follow policies and procedures to ensure satisfactory audit and SOX testing reports

·  Perform other duties as assigned

·   Complete Deposit Exception Item Processing for Checking, Savings and CD products (NSF/Return Items Processing, Unposted Item Review, PEP, Chargebacks, Stop Suspect Review, Large Dollar Review)

·   Manage all steps related to Customer Transaction disputes (ACH, Check Drafts, Forged Checks) and claim activity, including reporting/tracking, claim submission, review, and final disposition.

·   Manage ACH RDFI Operations and related tasks, including ACH Warehouse, ACH Exceptions, NOC, ACH Review Reporting, etc. Additionally, manage key control items related to annual ACH Audit 

·   Meet deadlines pertaining to non-posts, returns and disputes, keeping in compliance with Regulations and Bank Policy

·   Review SSA and SSI death notifications

·   Process Reclamations

·   Review Pre-Notifications

·   Review stop pay maintenance entered on system for accuracy

·   Complete IOLTA NSF Review, Reporting and Remittance

·   Review HSA NSF activity

·   Calculate QIA Interest and perform maintenance

·   Review Account Analysis Maintenance Report

·   Complete CD and IRA Check Issuance

Qualifications

·  High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years bank experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·  Active knowledge and practice of accounting principles.

·  Effective oral and written communication skills.

·  Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.

·  Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).  Familiarity with report-writing or spreadsheet software preferred.

·  Ability to multitask and manage priorities and deadlines.

·  Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

·  Strong attention to detail and organization skills

·  Professionalism in dress and communication
