We are a leading provider of pole barns, barndominiums, and houses, operating a full-service lumber yard and manufacturing our own metal siding and trim. We’ve experienced rapid growth by maintaining an amazing team and delivering “Best in Class” customer service. We’re now seeking a Construction Materials and Compliance Auditor to join our team. This position blends auditing responsibilities with construction support functions, ensuring both the accuracy of material lists and a high level of customer and contractor satisfaction throughout the building process.
Position Summary
The Construction Auditor serves as a key link between Sales, Coordination, and field operations. This role reviews material lists and sales orders for accuracy, provides quality control across projects, and supports contractors by resolving last-minute needs and jobsite challenges. Success in this role means fewer material errors, smoother builds, and satisfied customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Auditing & Quality Control
- Audit material lists and sales orders daily for missing or incompatible items.
- Compare sales orders, contracts, and blueprints to ensure continuity.
- Record, track, and compile errors by Sales staff; provide monthly accountability reports to supervisors and accounting.
- Update stock plans and material lists to reflect new building methods and corrections.
- Mentor and train the Sales team on recurring errors and quality improvements.
- Work collaboratively across departments to reduce errors and implement countermeasures.
Construction Support & Customer Services
- Evaluate and respond to builder concerns, coordinating quick solutions.
- Provide timely, professional communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams regarding build-site issues.
- Track and document service requests, identifying recurring problems and assisting with long-term solutions.
- Maintain thorough documentation and positive communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of residential and/or post-frame building experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with take-offs, material lists, and construction project support.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with computers and project management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (50 hours per week, overtime as needed).
- Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt.
