The opportunity:
The term (6 months) Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the needs of the Marketing Strategy & Customer Experience team. This job requires the incumbent to be service- and detail-oriented with effective project management skills. Working independently as a team member in a fast-paced and dynamic environment will be expected in this job.
- Responsible for leading and owning smaller marketing campaigns and projects through all stages of development.
- Responsible for coordinating the creation of various marketing materials that support the overall marketing strategy.
- Responsible for providing support on small ad campaign production projects and participating in campaign strategy planning.
- Responsible for managing marketing collateral inventory.
- Attend trade shows and corporate events
- Generate monthly team reports summarizing projects and results.
- Assist with the planning and execution of marketing-led events, including B2B events and home shows, with a focus on elevating the brand presence, maintaining alignment with broader marketing objectives, and overseeing all aspects from volunteer recruitment and collateral management to bookings and staff attire, ensuring seamless and successful events. Support EfficiencyOne by maintaining a safe and professional work environment, embracing the organizational culture, being an ambassador for the organization, and respecting corporate policies.
- Perform any other related duties as required from time to time.
What Will Help You Succeed?
- Community college or university degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Highly motivated to take on new opportunities and challenges, with a passion to continue to develop and grow.
- Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and WordPress is an asset.
- Proficient with all MS Office applications (including Teams).
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently or within a team.
What to expect in your first several weeks on the job:
In the first week, expect to:
- Meet the marketing team, go through the training and onboarding process by meeting with other departments, learning about Efficiency Nova Scotia
- Meet our Agency Partners and get familiar with current brands and campaigns
- Training on software – Basecamp, SharePoint, Fresh Ticket
- Training and time to read marketing plan and work plan.
- Read program materials, company information (SharePoint materials), and past Annual Reports to get familiar with Efficiency Nova Scotia.
In the first month, expect to:
- Assigned projects to get familiar with programs, campaigns, and marketing plans.
- Working with Agency Partners and executing projects.
- Working closely with Marketing Specialists to train and learn how to execute projects.
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to execute events, including home shows and B2B events
In the first three months, expect to:
- Participate in Annual Marketing Plan meetings.
- Participate in team meetings and agency partner meetings.
- Execute smaller production projects, including form updates, website updates, and campaigns.
- Producing reports of completed projects, and upcoming projects including creative snapshots, timelines, and results.
