Employment Dates: April 2023 – October 2023
Salary: $15 minimum, based on experience
Position Summary:
Hotel Front Desk Associates check guests in and out of the hotel(s), provide excellent customer service to everyone they are in contact with, knowledgeable of Lakeside Chautauqua happenings & events. Front Desk Associates report to the Front Desk Hotel Supervisor. Various schedules are available which includes day shift (7a – 3p), evenings (3p – 11p); holidays and weekends are required. Up to 40 hours a week are available, scheduling is flexible based on business demands, may be required to work both day & night shifts during the week. All employees will be cross trained in both shifts prior to working preferred shift and working unsupervised. Set shifts/schedules are not guaranteed. Position may turn into year-round employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Communicate clearly to guests over the phone and in person
· Take hotel reservations over the phone and in person
· Check guests in and out of hotel rooms
· Cleaning of front desk, lobby, restrooms & public spaces as requested, needed & required
· Cross-training of reviewing guest room cleanliness prior to guest arrival
· Stocking front desk supplies as needed
· Helping guests with luggage may be required (up to 50lbs lifting, possible)
· Other duties that may be assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience not required but preferred. On-the-job training provided. High school diploma preferred.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, portions, percentages and to apply the basic math concepts.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions where only limited and standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
