Wachusett Brewing Company is looking for a Front of House Manager to lead our Brew Yards and seasonal Brew Woods. Ideal candidates will place the highest priority on superior customer experience and satisfaction. Will be driven to lead a front-of-house team and lead efforts to improve financial performance continuously.

 Qualified candidates have a passion for food, beverage, and hospitality. Candidates must be positive, enthusiastic, and empathetic. They must possess the ability to balance being detail-oriented while maintaining a craft beer environment. Administrative duties include assisting in the hiring, training, and scheduling of staff, inventory management, and assisting in events, and staff education.

Must facilitate a smooth line of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. The brew yard is often the first customer engagement with our brand and the customer experience is critical to introducing them to the Wachusett Brewing Company family of products. Our ideal candidate has several years of experience working in restaurants with time spent in a supervisory role.

 Front of House Manager Duties and Responsibilities

·         Increases sales in the restaurant by providing and continuously improving the highest levels of uncompromising customer experience.

·         Hire and train FOH staff. Provides ongoing coaching and appropriate progressive discipline to all Team Members in the restaurant, managing appropriate documentation, and ensure Team Members have clarity around their current level of performance.

·         Set and maintain shift schedules to meet the demands of the business.

·         Oversee day-to-day operations in the FOH to ensure all standards of Wachusett quality and service are achieved during each shift.

·         Ensure every team member positively represents the Wachusett Brand with a focus on customer experience.

·         Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back-of-house (BOH)

·         Establish and communicate key objectives in sales, service, product quality control, facility appearance, and cleanliness.

·         Identify training needs and initiate the development of new training programs, operations manuals, and assessments to build a culture of continuous growth.

·         Regularly review company processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.

·         Coordinate with all departments for the successful implementation of new food & beverage initiatives and operational improvements; including developing long & short-term goals to ensure financial targets are being met regarding cost of goods, labor costs, and daily operating expenses.

·         Identify and research ways to improve POS system issues to maximize the flow of business.

·         Establish protocols for inventory management and understand the processes of beverage inventory systems.

·         Analyze menus, cost of items, and sales reports to ensure the most profitable product mix.

·         Represent the business by being present during peak hours of business, attending brewery events, and engaging guests & staff.

·         Plan, promote, and manage brewery events to maximize guest satisfaction.

·         Collaborate with the maintenance department on day-to-day needs and create quality control measures for the continual improvement of the facility.

·         Maintain sanitary practices for beverage and food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment in dining, bar, and storage areas.

·         Special events such as beer dinners and other ideas to drive revenue.

Front of House Manager Requirements and Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED certificate.

·         Several years of restaurant experience.

·         Supervisory experience.

·         Strong leadership and management skills.

·         Communication abilities.

·         Present neat professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

·         Proven success in implementing or maintaining superior customer service.

Required Knowledge & Experience

·         Ability to read, understand and make decisions based on financial data/reports.

·         Experience with restaurant POS systems.

·         Working knowledge of the craft brewing industry, operations, and product pricing.

·         Demonstrate clear communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

·         High level of customer service knowledge and experience.

·         Strong people management skills and ability to oversee varying levels of employees.

·         Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, busy situations.

·         Commitment and enthusiasm for the WBC brand.

·         Desire to challenge oneself as a leader and build a strong team.

·         Must be ServSafe Certified (food & alcohol).
