Donor Relations Manager

The National WWII Museum’s Office of Institutional Advancement seeks a Donor Relations Manager to implement and manage a comprehensive Donor Relations and Stewardship Program, coordinating donor relations and stewardship initiatives across Museum departments. The Donor Relations Manager will drive implementation of donor recognition, including but not limited to recognition for capital and program gifts, annual and lifetime giving, and sponsorship. The Manager will also assist in managing strategic outreach, cultivation events, and stewardship reporting, among other responsibilities.  The Donor Relations Manager is a full-time, exempt employee. 

Responsibilities

  •  Responsible for implementing a comprehensive stewardship and recognition program for major and planned gift donors to The National WWII Museum.
  • Works with AVP, Museum staff, and Development Directors to maintain available list of Capital Naming Opportunities and Program Sponsorship Opportunities, including special campaigns such as theater seats, benches, trees and sculpture.
  • Collaborates and serves as project manager with the Capital Expansion Department to fulfill physical donor recognition requirements through plaques, signs, film credits, and more.
  • Serves as inter-departmental liaison, keeping the I.A. team informed of Museum projects and sharing I.A goals and objectives with relevant Museum partners.
  • Responsible for a variety of donor communications. Serves as project manager with Marketing/Communications for the Annual Report and Annual Donor Wall production.

Qualifications:

  •  Minimum of two years non-profit development experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or three years of project management experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of computer software for development, including development database management systems (with experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred), PowerPoint, and other presentation and desktop publishing software.
