Bar Moxy Manager - Moxy Charleston
The Bar Moxy Manager is responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and profitability of Bar Moxy. This position oversees all aspects of the bar including guest experience, team development, beverage quality, inventory management, cost controls, compliance, and revenue generation. Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for hotel guests and local patrons.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high service standards and ensure exceptional hospitality.
- Develop and implement promotions, events, and programming to drive guest engagement.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily bar operations and service execution.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of all bar areas.
- Monitor product quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Ensure adherence to responsible alcohol service practices.
Financial Management
- Manage beverage costs, labor costs, and operating expenses.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Review financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Control inventory through accurate ordering, receiving, and monthly inventory counts.
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing and source new products when appropriate.
- Monitor product usage and implement loss prevention controls.
Marketing & Programming
- Collaborate with hotel leadership to develop promotional events and activations.
- Leverage social media and local partnerships to increase visibility and traffic.
- Stay informed on beverage trends, local competition, and guest preferences.
- Assist in developing specialty cocktails and seasonal menus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bar management or food and beverage management experience.
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
- Experience managing inventory, labor costs, and financial performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid alcohol service certification or ability to obtain certification.
Preferred
- Hotel bar or lifestyle hospitality experience.
- Marriott brand experience.
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of local Charleston food and beverage trends.
Physical Requirements
