POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in training, management, and day-to-day operations for the Housekeeping Department. 

JOB DUTIES:

Assist with managing staff, including hiring, training, coaching, discipline, etc. to build an exceptional housekeeping program.

Coordinate with other departments daily.

Perform all housekeeping daily tasks including, but not limited to: straightening furniture, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, bedmaking, and maintaining restrooms.

Be courteous and helpful to members and guests including reporting any guest requests or preferences.

Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance on site when necessary.

Conduct inspections of all home care, rental homes, and public areas on property. Taking into account the work done by that housekeeping team as well as the overall quality and condition of the area surrounding.

Responsible for scheduling.

Assist with ordering and inventory of all housekeeping supplies.

Monitor and approve associate hours worked each pay period and submit appropriate reports to Accounting and Human Resources.

Assist the Executive Housekeeper with the interview and hiring process.

Establish safe working conditions through appropriate training.

Must be able to perform all essential housekeeping duties when Executive Housekeeper is not present or unavailable.

Must be able to drive company van in various weather conditions aptly, in a courteous manner, and regarding speed limits and all other rules of the road.  Weather conditions from dry roads to snow and ice.

Provide support to other departments during special events.

Uphold Moonlight Basin core values, and lead associates to do the same.

Other duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper and other members of the management team.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

Must possess intermediate computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, fluency in English.

Knowledge of club/hotel housekeeping operations

Ability to communicate challenges and objectives to foster best practices and growth in the team.

Ability to lead and motivate associates.

Highly organized and flexible.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Self-starter; able to carry out diverse duties with minimal supervision.

Professional demeanor.

Comprehension of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity, and other expenses.

Ability to work Mon-Sun and holidays.

Preferred:

Two plus years housekeeping experience within a luxury resort.

General knowledge of resort and club operations.

Ability to understand and communicate in conversational Spanish.

Previous experience in management or supervisory position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires walking, lifting, forward flection, repetitive bending, pushing, pulling.

Position requires constant listening and speaking for the give and take of direction.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a continual basis and carry materials to proper locations regularly. 

Must be able to stand, sit, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.

Must be able to climb or balance for the occasional use of ladders and lifts.

Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.

Must have a valid drivers license, with a clean driving record.
