Cisco Engineer
TIC Security is looking for a qualified network engineer who can assist on the Bureau of Engraving and Printing federal contract. Must have a strong Cisco Networks background and design knowledge which is crucial to the success of the project. Must either possess an active clearance or the ability to clear a federal background check and should also be flexible for an active work schedule.

Goal:
The transition of End of Life (EOL) Video Surveillance System, to a state-of-the-art Milestone XProtect video solution is critical to the stability and security of the United States – the system is over 3,000 cameras and is a two-year Period of Performance. This individual will need to assist in the 90% design, 100% design to include working with CAD team and the written sections of design. Once the design is complete will need to lead the deployment as it relates to the network, cabling, labeling, deployment, testing, and training as well as all close out as it relates to the network.
Mandatory Qualifications:
1. A recognized four-year or higher college degree in business administration, management, architecture, engineering, or construction management
2. A Cisco Engineer Certification
3. RCDD Certification
4. At least 6 years of experience, managing similar projects.
5. Achieve BEP Adjudication
Desired Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of IP and Analog Video Surveillance Systems
2. Milestone XProtect Certificate or ability to achieve
3. Knowledge of Cisco Network engineering, design, and protocol
4. Knowledge of presentation and troubleshooting
Description:
Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE) will serve as the TIC Technical Network Engineer point-of-contact (POC) for the Government and are responsible for the Network and Design aspects of the project including:
- Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, Routers, Switches, and printers
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot security and network infrastructure
- Effective time management
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
- Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology
- Knowledge of leading the development and achievement of project objectives
- Have the capability of ensuring that the highest quality services and products are provided to the BEP on time, ensuring effective communications and the proper flow of information
- The ability to ensure reliable systems operations, the accuracy of data contained in the system (within the design limits of the system), preparation and submission of reports pertinent to systems operations and related topics, and timely submission of reports concerning all unusual activity to the BEP COR
- Preparing and presenting reports and briefings concerning operations of the security system operations, activities, and status, as required
- Primary duty location will be 90% DCF (Washington, DC) and 10% WCF (Texas)
