Position Summary:

The Graduate Assistant for Community Service and Advocacy is a 10-month (August 1- May 31) position renewable for up to 3 total years of service (2 years with the possibility of a 1-year extension, and contingent upon performance in the position and continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program).  The position is live-in and shares in the planning, promoting, and executing of DeSales University’s off-campus tutoring and mentoring programs in the Lehigh Valley through the Community Service and Advocacy office. Compensation includes a stipend, furnished apartment for 12 months (with renewal of contract), full meal plan while undergraduate classes are in session, and tuition remission for up to 18 credits per academic year at DeSales University over a 2–3-year period.

Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s degree required

      Acceptance into, and continued enrollment in a DeSales University graduate program required (candidate must be accepted into the program prior to start date in position)

      Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
